Check to see if RBI Wireless Broadband is available at your property

3G Aerial – You are in Vodafone 3G coverage. A technician is required to install an aerial and setup your Rural Broadband service.

4G Aerial – You are in Vodafone 4G coverage. A technician is required to install an aerial and setup your 4G Rural Broadband service.

4G PnP – “4G Plug and Play” means you are within very good or excellent Vodafone 4G coverage. No installation required.

4G Voice - To check if 4G Voice is available, select the Mobile tab in the coverage checker below. Then select 4G Voice and enter your address. 4G Voice or 4G calling is also known as VoLTE, which allows calls to be made over Vodafone’s 4G network. To be able to make a call in one of these 4G only areas, you need to be on a VoLTE enabled plan and have a VoLTE enabled device that has been updated with the latest manufacturers’ software. Please see our online help for more information including eligible devices and indicative timings of when to expect a software update.

  • Call Waiting $4.09 - Will notify you when someone is trying to call you while you're on another call
  • Call Divert $4.09 - Let's you divert calls to a phone number of your choice wherever you are, and always stay in touch
  • Caller Display Free - Makes it possible for you to see who is calling before you answer. Your phone must have caller-id capability.

Self-install/Managed Install


Depending on your location, your Farmside Wireless Broadband service could be a self-install or a managed install. To find out what's available at your location please contact our friendly team on 0800 32 76 74. Self-install: Self-installs are easy and straightforward. Once you receive your modem you simply insert the SIM card supplied and power up the modem and you're set.

  • $15 freight charge applies for the self-install equipment
  • 30 day connection guarantee
Managed Install: A managed install requires a technician to install an aerial and setup your modem. There are two types of managed installs depending on your house and location. Standard Managed Install:
  • Standard installation $99
  • Travel charges may apply
Standard managed install applies where:
  • The premises is a single story home or building made of wood or Brick and has easy access to the roof using a ladder (not scaffolding)
  • The roof pitch is less than 15 degrees
  • 10 metres of cabling or less is required
  • The modem is located against an exterior wall
  • Connecting the service up to a single computer
Non-standard Managed Install:
  • A non-standard managed installation will incure additional labour and parts charges.
  • Travel charges may apply
Non-standard managed install applies where:
  • The premises is a 2 story or architecturally designed (1 or 2 story) home or building
  • The roof pitch is more than 15 degrees
  • Scaffolding or an elevated work platform is required
  • The house is difficult to access (e.g on the side of a cliff)
  • Internal cabling is required
  • Additional cable in excess of 10 metres is required
  • Modem needs to be located in a difficult area to access (e.g in the roof space of an internal office)

RBI Broadband 150GB and Unlimited off-peak booster terms and conditions

  1. The 150GB off-peak booster provides 150GB of data between the hours of midnight (12.00 am) to midday (12:00 pm) over and above the broadband plan.

  2. The unlimited off-peak booster provides unlimited data between the hours of midnight (12.00 am) to midday (12:00 pm) over and above the broadband plan. Fair usage applies as outlined in Farmside's Broadband Terms and Conditions, section 2.12.

  3. Off-peak data boosters must be purchased for a minimum two month period, over two consecutive billing periods.

  4. Customers can purchase boosters either on an as required basis or elect to buy a data booster for future usage periods.

  5. Customers can purchase boosters by either calling the Farmside Customer Services team 0800 32 76 74 or via the MyFarmside portal

  6. The booster usage billing period is from the 21st of the month to the 20th of the following month.

  7. Boosters take effect from the date of purchase to the next 20th of the month.

  8. Where boosters are purchased for future usage periods, they are billed one month in advance.

  9. Off-peak data boosters purchased partway through the month are retrospective and will take effect from the start of the usage billing period, any previous off-peak data consumed will be deducted from the off-peak data booster data allowance.

  10. Once the 150GB off-peak booster has been consumed, any further usage between midnight (12.00 am) – (12:00 pm) midday will use the broadband plan data allowance. If this has been fully consumed then overage up to 6GB will apply charged at the overage rate, the connection will then be throttled. Throttling can be removed by adding further data boosters. 

  11. The overage charge is $0.03 per MB.

  12. Any unused off-peak booster data will not be carried forward to the following month.

  13. Farmside’s Standard and Broadband Terms also apply.
