Farmside is one of three finalists in the Rural Service Provider of the Year in the Broadband Compare TUANZ Awards.
Farmside General Manager, Jason Sharp says the team are ecstatic “our team based out of Timaru work incredibly hard around the clock to provide exceptional service to rural New Zealanders, it is great to be recognised for it on a national scale”.
Farmside was founded out of Timaru 16 years ago, by local man Barry Payne who was one of thousands of rural New Zealanders unable to get connected to the internet.
“We are proud to have been the first to bring broadband to rural New Zealand. The industry has come a long way since then, we began with satellite, we were the first to bring it to the country. We now operate every facet of connectivity from Fibre, to RBI, to fixed line and mobile. Telecommunications is a fast paced and very competitive industry so to be recognised as a top service provider is really special” Sharp says.
Farmside competes against Primo Wireless, a Taranaki RBI Wireless and UFB (Ultra Fast Broadband) provider and Wireless Nation, a national internet service provider.
The Broadband Compare TUANZ Awards evening will be held at The Orange Coronation Ballroom in Auckland on November 8th.
