Timaru-based rural broadband provider, Farmside, won two major awards at the 2019 Broadband Compare TUANZ Awards.
Vodafone-owned Farmside won ‘Best Rural Service Provider’ and ‘Best Wireless Provider for 2019’ – winning in two out of three categories entered in the awards.
The event brought 200 senior-level professionals in the New Zealand telecommunications industry together to recognise the companies bringing connectivity to Kiwis.
Farmside General Manager, Jason Sharp says, “I’m immensely proud of the team for being recognised for the hard work they do delivering connectivity to rural New Zealand. Being a rural service provider is one of the hardest games in town. We don’t want to leave rural New Zealand behind – we want to bridge the digital divide, and these awards are a testament to the team for working towards that goal.”
