1. Can I use my fax machine with Webline?
Yes, you can with an ATA adaptor, as long as your fax machine supports the T.38 Fax Protocol. Please check this with your fax machine manufacturer or retailer.
2. How many phones (or phone and fax) can I connect to Webline?
If you connect your phone directly to your satellite user terminal (UT), you can connect either one phone or one fax machine. If you are using an ATA to connect your Webline, you can connect two phones or one phone and one fax. If one of the phones that you connect is a cordless with multiple handsets, you will be able to make and receive Webline calls around your home.
3. Can I make simultaneous phone and fax calls over Webline?
You can only make one phone call or send one fax at a time. If you want to make more than one call at a time, you will need to multiple Webline accounts assigned to your satellite user terminal (UT).
4. Do I need to purchase an additional Internet Phone number for my fax machine?
No. Your fax machine will be able to operate on the same number as your Webline. Please contact our customer service team on 0800 Farmside (0800 32 76 74) for advice on how to set up a fax/voice combination over Webline.
5. If I buy a Webline ATA, can I have a separate phone number for my fax machine?
No, as each Webline service and the associated number are assigned to a single broadband connection.
